 Areas of Practice: Maureen Martinez-Schwab is a partner in the law firm of Romano Law Group where she maintains a successful trial practice in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, auto accidents, medical malpractice, and construction defects. Prior to joining the Romano Law Group, Maureen began her career as an Assistant State Attorney at the Office of the State Attorney for the 15th Judicial Circuit, Florida. In this position she gained extensive and diversified trial experience prosecuting numerous misdemeanor and felony trials (attempted murder, burglary, aggravated battery and DUI) to verdict. She then left the State Attorney's office to work with an insurance defense firm in West Palm Beach for several years prior to joining Romano Law Group. Maureen currently serves on the Board of Directors of thePalm Beach County Bar Association, The Belli Society and the Young Lawyers Section of the Florida Justice Association. She is a member of the Criminal Justice Section of the Florida Bar and the Young Lawyers Section of the Palm Beach County Bar Association where she also serves on the Judicial Relations Committee and is the Co-Chair of the 2009 Law Week Committee. She is a member of the Executive Board (Secretary) of the Craig S. Bernard American Inns Court LIV, the American Association for Justice and the Palm Beach County Association for Justice. Maureen received her B.S. from the Florida State University and her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University. She is fluent in Spanish and resides in Palm Beach County with her husband Scott and Cody, their yellow Labrador Retriever.
